To keep my eyes open, with gratitude, to the grace and beauty that surrounds us and perhaps help others do the same.

Born in Illinois, raised in Connecticut and a graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, I currently reside in Dobbs Ferry, New York with my wife and son.

“Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonder and to praise of the goodness of God.” – Thomas Merton

  1. Oh, what lovely photos! Reminds me of Ansel Adams’ photos, which I love. I’m so glad I found this blog because I can have a visual feast when I visit.

  2. I’m glad I found you – but sadly enough I didn’t find a way to comment on your entries. Here I can at least tell you how your photos always make me appreciate every day even more. Thank you.

  3. Hi Anne, How very good of you to show such interest in my blog. I recently changed the template but I thought that there was a very small window in the lower right-hand corner that shows up when you open a page. I thought it said “follow” and you click on that. I’d appreciate it if you could let me know if that is helpful. Thank you Anne! Tom

    1. Johanna, What a very, very kind and thoughtful thing to say. I sure appreciate your taking the time to let me know that you enjoy my photos. All the best to you too, Tom

  4. Hi Tom – Gil from RHS class of ’78. Happened upon your photos. Absolutely beautiful. I’m extremely impressed. Hope things are well with you.

  5. Wow Gil! How incredibly kind of you to stop by and let me know you enjoyed my photo blog. Graphic Arts instructor David Geisler was someone who encouraged my photography at RHS and he passed away not too long ago. Every day is certainly a gift and hearing from an “old” classmate like you is another huge gift for sure. My best to you Gil, with sincere thanks, Tom

  6. Hi Susan, I’m glad you were able to track me down and thank you very much for your interest in my photography. If you let me know what photo you would like I’ll be happy to send you an 8×10. Maybe you can make a small donation to the Audubon Society if that might work for you. My email address is twarren9@mac.com. Thank you Susan!
